Hole #1 is a great starting hole.   This hole is a dogleg right that plays slightly down hill off the tee to give you extra distance and boost your confidence to start your round.    The only trouble spots on this hole are the infamous “snake and turtle” mounds to the left and a few small evergreens generously off to the right.   The best position for your tee shot is to the corner of the dogleg on the right side of the fairway.   Be careful for the ridge running through the back middle part of this huge green.
